Cellular Architectures Lab, Texas A&M University
The Cellular Architectures Lab (CAL) at Texas A&M University is seeking 1–2 fully funded PhD students to join the research group starting Fall 2026 (Funding covers 4 years of tuition, stipend, and benefits).
Cellular Architectures Laboratory (CAL) at Texas A&M University’s School of Architecture, directed by Dr. Mostafa Akbari, advances research at the intersection of Computational Design and Advanced Manufacturing. The lab’s interdisciplinary investigations span computational structural design, bio-based materials, and material computation, unified by a central aim: to reimagine how buildings are designed, materialized, and constructed. Through scalable digital technologies, CAL seeks to enable more responsible architectural practices that respond to diverse environmental challenges and socioeconomic contexts.Website: https://www.mostafaakbari.net/
