Space is composed of information. Space is information. Urban life is experienced in two spaces: the cityspace and the space of flows. They both exist at the same place subjected to different chronicities. The aim of the project is to interweave those two spaces and create an in-between hybrid space that will serve as the threshold between the physical and the virtual. Osmosis is used as a representational technique in order to converge on reality from a conceptual position and result to a relationship between idea and form. People play key role, acting like catalysts to the whole process. The suggested urban structures are based on a dynamic architecture that brings stability to the civic fabric; osmosis through a complex of interacting forces, through rhythmic movement and fluctuation. Within the emerging urban models evolve a-hierarchical systems, networks or "rhizomes", more operative within the contemporary unstable conditions. Digital media and CAAD serve as a bridge between the physical and the virtual, the idea and the artifact, generating organizations through the manipulation of force effects in a time-based environment. With the supporting geometry of the N.U.R.B.S. [Non-Uniform Rational B-Splines], a dynamic surface is created, a network of interconnected dynamic points, which is interactively modeled and animated, activated by an open-ending stream of information obtained by the two supplementary spaces.
