Complex Figure_Ground Relationships The Hague - Holland: C.F.G. proposes at a large scale a responsive urbanism, a bottom-up growth-model that guides the introduction of an already existing master-plan for the city of The Hague, The Netherlands. C.F.G. is a critique to its fragmentation and top-down approach. At a local scale it collapses movement and programmed space in a continuous and potentially endless fabric. Highly differentiated and articulated, it enables time-based activation and thus a more efficient space-use, crucial in The Netherlands. In controlling its envisioned complexity, digital diagramming techniques have been crucial in the project's development.
