Hani Rashid . This project is a very strong attempt to reconcile digital tools with program and structure, and it works to a certain extent. However the complexity of the outcome and the simplicity of the premise seem to be at odds. It is interesting to note that our predigital radical architecture by the likes of Himmenblau and Hadid in the 80's had a similar outcome without a computer in sight. So for me the question remains, why cloak a complex, well executed building design like this in digital garb, or from another point of view, what did the tools allow this architect to achieve beyond shear complexity?
