Two-Handed User Interface to the Stereoscopic Field Analyzer

Interface The goal of this project is to develop a Two-Handed user interface to the Stereoscopic Field Analyzer (SFA), an interactive 3D scientific visualization system. Currently, SFA displays scalar and vector fields represented as a volume of glyphs, and the user manipulates the graphical representation using two Polhemus Fastrak sensors with three buttons each.

Each hand holds one sensor, and has a distinct role to play, with the left hand responsible for context setting of various kinds, and the right hand responsible for picking and fine manipulation.
