Metabolic Network sensory workshop

This workshop focuses on interactive and sensing technologies applicable to the design of responsive environments, ubiquitous computing, mobile computing and wearable computing.

Sustainable Cities

This project focuses on sustainable urban design and visualization to aid participatory planning. It will contribute to design research for municipalities using urban modeling, collaborative planning and advanced visualization tools.

Activated Ceramics

This workshop investigates the integration of CNC manufacturing, interactive sensing technology, and new ceramic material qualities. Its aim is to investigate contemporary masonry and ceramic design by exploring intersections between traditional crafts and new digital technologies.

Future Wood / Three Frontiers

This event is a symposium on east coast wood innovation, followed by a ‘Generative Components’ parametric software workshop.

A. Choice of workshop. If more than one is of interest, iindicate order of preference.

B. Full contact information: name, affiliation, role (i.e. student, faculty member...), email address, telephone numbers, postal address.

C. Brief statement of interest- 200 words, allowing workshop organizers to prepare for appropriate levels of experience of participants.

D. If you are a student of a Canadian Design Research Network- affiliated institution and wish to request a travel subsidy, make a brief statement that confirms your request., including 'CDRN travel subsidy' in the subject line. There is a limited CDRN travel subsidy fund which will be allocated after workshop registration is complete. The form of payment will be part-reimbursement of travel invoices, a copy of which you are requested to bring to the conference registration, for confirmation.
