Who can join?
Membership is open
to educators, students, professionals and academic libraries with an interest
in computer-aided design. ACADIA has members from all over the world,
including members from the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe,
the Middle East, and the Pacific Rim.

In addition to assuring timely access to the latest thinking regarding
computer aided design in architecture, membership in ACADIA has a number
of other benefits:
- Members pay a reduced conference registration fee.
- Members receive a digital copy of the conference proceedings
whether they are able to attend the conference or not.
- Individual members may subscribe at a substantially reduced rate to
The
International Journal of Architectural Computing, a high quality
peer-reviewed international journal published by Multiscience.
- Members get online access to 7000+ full-text PDF files of research papers
archived in the CUMINCAD database.
- Members may subscribe at no additional cost to ArchitectureWeek
and Great Buildings Online.
- Members have access to our online newsletter (ACADIA News)
at no additional cost through the ACADIA.ORG web site.
- Members have access to an online directory of members
and may subscribe to the ACADIA mailing list, giving them email contact
with their peers at other institutions.
Annual Dues:
Membership runs from January 1st to December 31st regardless of the membership
application date. Membership will be activated for the next calendar year
for anyone joining ACADIA after the annual conference (usually in October)
and before the end of the year.

Library membership includes the following benefits:
- IP-based, on-line access to thousands of full-text research papers archived in the CUMINCAD database. Libraries may provide a range of IP-addresses from which access will be accepted,
allowing individual library patrons to create their own username and password when
connecting to CUMINCAD from those computers. Libraries may also use VPN or EZ-Proxy to
authenticate their users and allow access from computers outside the IP range.
- An annual conference proceedings book.
- A subscription at no additional cost to ArchitectureWeek
and Great Buildings Online. ArchitectureWeek can work with libraries to
provide IP-based access.
- Access to an online newsletter (ACADIA News) at no additional cost through the ACADIA.ORG web site.
- Access to a searchable online directory of other members
and may subscribe to the ACADIA mailing list, giving them email contact
with their peers at other institutions.
- A reduced conference registration fee for a designated participant.

Student members of ACADIA are granted almost all the privileges of individual members,
at substantially reduced dues.

Verifying student status
You will need to provide proof of student status to receive the student dues rate.
You may mail a copy of your student id card showing current enrollment status, or you
may upload a scan of your ID through the membership system.

Retired individuals are granted all the privileges of individual members, with
substantially reduced dues.

How to join?
If you attended the ACADIA annual conference, your registration included a one year membership. Just
connect to CAMEO and follow the directions to "sign up" (new members) or "renew" (current members), then click the "I attended" checkbox to activate your membership for the coming year.
To apply for or renew your membership in ACADIA (any category), you may either use the Online Membership Form
or print out, fill in and mail in a Membership Application
and Renewal Form (82k pdf). Library subscribers may use the online form, or may use Library Price List and Membership Order Form.
Dues payments may be made online through our PayPal account, or by check made payable to ACADIA and drawn in US dollars.
